Takamoa history

I'm looking for families from the Cook Islands who may have ancestors who attended Takamoa college in the 19th Century and went to islands in the Pacific as missionaries. Information on their lives would be great -especially the New Guinea pioneers. (Material is to go into a book.)

Good Day ,I would like to know if anyone can help me to find Tom Marsters.

I had met Tom when I arrived in Rarotonga on the yacht - SoLace in April 1957. The yacht was owned by Commander Clarke.

I stayed with Mama Twin Marsters, who worked in the hospital laundry.

I would love to plan a trip to Raro and would really like to catch up with this family again.

Bill Marsters

In 2001 my wife & I spent a month on Palmerston, on our catamaran Catofun. I believe that Bill would certainly remember us - we became very good friends and 3 things happened while we were there that are very note worthy. 1. Bill and others got our 44 foot caT INTO THE LAGOON. 2. while we were there a British warship visited and about 400 people came ashore over 3 days. 3. A sweet old man next door to Bill died and we were allowed to help Bill construct his casket and we attendedthe ceramony.

Lost Contact with Friends in Aitutaki

I spent quite some time in the Cook Islands back in the early 80's. I met a family that lived in the Patiti Beach area of Aitutaki. I lost their name and their address. I can remember they had a daughter named Toreta, who had heart surgery in NZ, an elder daughter whose name escapes me at this point in time, a son named Ngaro, who I think passed away in a motorbike accident, and a younger son named something like Robert. I think that Toreta moved to NZ. I did a google earth search for their home and it looks like it is gone. If anyone knows where any of them are can you please assist of give them my email address? Mangaia is not a beautiful island in the usual sense of the word, but I think it's an island of great beauty. I've just created a new video which I hope might persuade you to pay it a visit one day......I can promise you the islanders will give you a very warm welcome

The video is available by clicking here (YouTube hosted) or here (Google hosted). The Google hosted version is higher quality resolution, but it's a much bigger file so I would recommend it only if you have a good broadband connnection.
