Reply with quote | #1 | I visited your beautiful Island of Rarotonga last September for a couple of weeks and was astounded by the beauty and serenity of your Island. I wanted to go to a place where there was no overcrowding, loud bars, obnoxious tourists, pollution or jet skis. This was the place of my answers! I stayed at Kuras Kabanas in cabana #3 (best one) and I felt my worries and troubles of high pressure in my job just evaporate. Unfortunately, on my 3rd morning - I took a nasty spill off my motorbike and spent 6 days in the local hospital. This may seem like a disaster for a vacation, however I am now a believer of you just can't complain about what happened in the past - make the best of it. I only took on this epiphany, as the Islanders and visitors comforted me on the ambulance arrival. I was traveling alone, and this should be even more worrisome, however I was treated like family by the owners of Kuras and the Islanders as well during my entire hospital stay! I have endured a few plastic surgeries and you will never be able to tell it happened! I am going back this October for 3 weeks of catching up with good friends and the closest thing to paradise I know! And I will pay attention to where I am going on the bike this time~
